Educational-methodical work

The department trains students of 2, 3, 4 and 5 courses in the specialty 6B10104- “Pharmacy” and 6B07201- “Technology of pharmaceutical production” and 1, 2 courses on the basis of secondary (6B10105- “Pharmacy” on the basis of secondary) and higher accelerated education ( 6В10106- “Pharmacy” on the basis of the higher) in the state and Russian languages, master students of the specialty 7M10111 are also trained – in the specialty “Pharmacy” (scientific and pedagogical direction), 7M10112 – in the specialty “Pharmacy” (profile direction), 7M10113 – in the specialty ” Pharmaceutical Cosmetology” (scientific and pedagogical direction), 7M07201 – in the specialty “Technology of pharmaceutical production” (scientific and pedagogical direction) and doctoral students of the specialty 8D10102 – in the specialty “Pharmacy”, 8D07201 – in the specialty “Technology of pharmaceutical production”, training – cyclic, credit. Training is carried out along the following trajectories:

– in the specialty “Pharmacy”;

– in the specialty “Pharmaceutical production technology”.

Along with traditional (passive) methods, the department actively uses innovative teaching methods that are practice-oriented: case studies, problem-oriented learning, team-oriented learning, business, role-playing games, the brainstorming method, the group discussion method , portfolio, combined survey, teaching method in small groups, simulation technologies, presentations. Innovative learning methods are characterized by the maximum approximation to the real professional situation and allow the most effective formation of the professional competencies of the future specialist and the responsibility of students for the result of the learning process.

Problem Based Learning (PBL) has been introduced over the last five years; case-based learning (CBL), team-based learning (TBL); training based on simulation technologies.

The disciplines of study reflect the current issues of medicine and pharmacy, while the list of proposed elective disciplines changes in connection with the requirements of the modern labor market. New elective courses are being developed taking into account the wishes and suggestions of employers.

At meetings with employers, the issues of employers’ participation in the formation of the EP, participation in the certification of graduates, solving the problems of advanced training of pharmaceutical workers, the implementation of dual training (guest lectures, on-site classes at the pharmaceutical profile, etc.)

Currently, the department is implementing the principles of “Learning through research”, which allows students to combine the educational process and research activities within the framework of the educational program. At the undergraduate level, 40-50% of students are engaged in scientific work within the framework of the scientific circles of the department. Lifelong learning is the professional responsibility of students to constantly develop their knowledge and skills through performance evaluation, audit, analysis of their practice.

Graduates undergo further studies in master’s and doctoral studies, advanced training in order to maintain, update, develop and improve their knowledge, skills and attitudes in response to needs, receive additional higher education.
