International cooperation

As part of the program “Attracting foreign scientists to Kazakh universities” the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry, Pharmacognosy and Botany annually invites scientists from leading universities in the world to give lectures, conduct consultations and seminars, as well as to act as scientific supervisors of master’s and doctoral students. Inviting scientists from abroad allows students to develop their competencies through new knowledge and teaching methods from the perspective of an international approach to the educational process. Also, the involvement of specialists is carried out for the purpose of professional development of the teaching staff of the department, to provide consultations on various academic and scientific issues. Working with visiting professors facilitates the conclusion of agreements and memorandums of cooperation with foreign universities and organizations, joint projects and programs for external academic mobility of students and teaching staff, the organization of internships for teachers and students in foreign universities and research centers, the development of international relations, and the search for foreign partners in the field of scientific and educational activities. As part of the implementation of the visiting professor program, the department, together with invited foreign professors, develops textbooks, teaching aids, publishes scientific articles, carries out research projects and works.

In general, the program to attract foreign scientists contributes to:
